Puttu is the most common breakfast dish of kerala. It is rice powdered to small granules and cooked in steam with coconut layers in every 2-3 inch, Rice and coconut, boiled together emits a mouth watering aroma. Its traditional combination is kadala curry, a spicy preparation of black chickpeas. Together, they present a staple dish that is tasty and healthy at the same time.
